2F Lighting is proud to be the Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden lighting partner since 2014, starting with the realization of the lamps for the restaurant, going on with the public areas in the following year and from 2017 a room facelifting, producing the lighting of the rooms and suites as well as furnishing with special glass tables.

The challenge of the room renovation consisted into realizing it while the Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden remained open to its clientele. Because of this constraint, the project has been split into 6 to 7 construction phases over 9 months. Consequently, the craftsmen had to respect quite precise requirements (timetable, working and circulation zones, parking, etc.) during their activities on site in order not to disturb the hospitality working flow going on.

Three persons were managing the project: The Owner Representative, the Technical Director of Kempinski and the assigned Architect Sporer Plus from Stuttgart. Joachim Schmid from Sporer Plus was directing the whole construction. The suppliers have been chosen for their relationship to flexibility. Martin Baumann, 2f Lighting expert for Germany, was present especially before the start of the reconstruction on many construction sites in Berchtesgaden as well as in Stuttgart at Sporer Plus. Afterwards, Bettina Mayer was the project manager responsible for the luminaire development, as well as the production with subsequent logistics and assembly on site.

This was a great teamwork and every section was very well planned. Moreover, a dinner was organized quite at the beginning as a get-together for all involved persons. This way, a good cooperation between the different craftsmen and suppliers has been assured and the work together was based on real communication and mutual assistance.

“The work on this project has been very pleasant and smooth, especially thanks to the high-professional whole organization made by Sporer Plus. This was a very fairly conducted and exemplary project to work on…”, said Martin Baumann, 2F Lighting.
