Hyatt Centric San Salvador is now offering guests its signature brand experience in the historic capital city of El Salvador.

As well as being the lifestyle brand’s first property in the country, Hyatt Centric San Salvador is the first upper-upscale lifestyle Hyatt-branded hotel in the city.

Representing local culture

The 138-room Hyatt Centric San Salvador is now open in the city of San Salvador’s Soho Cascadas Mall. Salvadorean culture is represented through artworks decorating the property’s contemporary interiors, as well as with the restaurant and bar menus.

Designed for business and leisure, the hotel’s 138 guest rooms, including three suites, are joined by an array of lifestyle amenities and versatile event space for up to 150 people.

“Whether travelling for work or play, Hyatt Centric San Salvador provides an experience for guests to immerse themselves in the Salvadorean culture right in the heart the city, minutes from many of the area’s top landmarks,” said Gabriel Borralles, general manager of Hyatt Centric San Salvador.

“Our staff of local experts are proud to uphold Hyatt’s purpose of care to our guests, and we’re excited to showcase our unique culture when we welcome guests to this beautiful new hotel.”

New social venues

Design features reflecting local culture include a wooden mosaic designed by prominent artist Fernando Llort and built by a Salvadorean artisan in collaboration with the Arbol de Dios association to simulate the waves of the Pacific Ocean.

Guest rooms and suites are contemporary and minimalist in design, with lively wallpaper design and colour block accents enhancing the space.

The hotel’s signature restaurant Las Tunas specialises in Salvadorean cuisine that highlights the city’s most unique flavours and ingredients that can only be found here. The hotel also takes pride in offering special strains of Salvadorean coffee.

A highlight of the hotel is its rooftop bar, Glassy, where guests can enjoy poolside cocktails with a view of the surrounding mountains.

Meetings and events are hosted in six rooms spanning a total of 4,545 sq ft with floor-to-ceiling windows providing views over the city. Additional amenities including a fitness centre and swimming pool.

The property is conveniently located 45 minutes from El Salvador International Airport and near attractions such as Bicentenario Park, Multiplaza, La Gran Via mall and the National Museum of Anthropology MUNA.
