Small and large business owners alike are already thinking about what it’s going to take to keep their customers and staff safe as social distancing measures ease. Hotel brands Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and even AirBnB, most major airlines, and many franchise businesses have announced new procedures focused on cleanliness. KniTec has done the research and has partnered with leading manufacturers to bring you a suite of sanitation technology to support these new initiatives.

Hand Sanitizer Kiosk

The Digital Signage Hand Sanitizer Kiosk is a two-in-one communication and sanitation tool. Often stationed in business entrances and public spaces, the motion-activated, no-touch kiosk dispenses sanitizer while also engaging users in your programmed digital content.

How does the kiosk work?

The device’s creator noticed that when customers and staff would use hand sanitizer from manual stations, they would take a few moments to look at their surroundings. As a result, businesses started to position their digital signage displays next to manual hand sanitizer stations. The hand sanitizer kiosk integrates these two products into a superior, more beautiful device. KniTec’s Digital Signage Hand Sanitizer Kiosk features a 15.6” or a 21.5” inch vibrant LCD display, a motion-activated sanitizing station, and optional, easy-to-use content management software. With its Android 7.1 processor and content management system, users can quickly add 1080p videos, still advertisements, and photos to a playlist. And because it’s equipped with wireless capabilities, owners can manage content remotely – even across multiple kiosks. Wall-mounted and freestanding options are available. Electrostatic SprayerCordless Electrostatic Sprayers are becoming the new standard in public space sanitation, especially in schools, airlines, hotels, and other high-traffic areas. Their popularity is for good reason: Electrostatic Sprayers are easy to use, allow you to cover large areas quickly, and potentially are more effective than bleach wipes or power washing.

How do the sprayers work?

Electrostatic Sprayers apply a positive charge to the disinfectant solution as it travels through the nozzle. As most objects in our environment are negatively charged, the positively charged chemical attaches to surfaces. The charge not only helps the solution land on the surface, but also helps it to evenly spread out and wrap around the back of the object for total disinfection.

What kinds of sprayers are available?

KniTec has partnered with Victory Innovations – the leader in Electrostatic Sprayers – to bring you two sprayer models: the Backpack Sprayer and the Handheld Sprayer. The larger Backpack Sprayer can cover 23,000 square feet on a single tank while the lightweight Handheld Sprayer can cover up to 2,800 square feet per tank. Both sprayers feature adjustable nozzles to control the particle size, are equipped with a long lasting battery for up to 4 hours of run time, and come with a 1 year warranty. Body Temperature Scanner The no-contact body temperature scanner measures body temperature in seconds and provides alerts based on your temperature threshold settings. Staff and/or customers can quickly be scanned before entry to any facility, making it ideal for almost all public spaces such as hotels, hospitals, supermarkets, transportation hubs, corporate offices, and other businesses. And, with its optional facial recognition technology, you can store and use staff profiles to allow entry to the premises. By informing users of their temperature, these kiosks help identify illnesses and avoid the spread of viruses.

How does the scanner work?

The temperature detection scanner utilizes a binocular wide dynamic camera, night infrared, and LED dual photoflood lamp to accurately measure the temperature within < 0.9°F of an individual standing 1-3 feet from the device. The infrared technology supports facial recognition with or without masks at 99.7% accuracy. The database can store up to 30,000 faces and can be paired with various peripheral expansions such as ID card readers, fingerprint readers, 2-D code readers, and more.

The scanner is equipped with an 8-inch, full-view LCD screen, which displays the temperature reading in about 1 second. Additionally, you can choose to provide verbal alerts and/or use the LED traffic light system based on temperature thresholds that you set. Desk stand, floor stand, or surfacing mounting options are available.

Clean Remotes

Hospitals and hotels have identified remote controls to be a “disease hotspot”– an area that is handled often and if not cleaned meticulously, can transmit illnesses. In response, one company created Clean Remotes. These easy-to-clean television remotes are non-porous and, as a result, are 99% cleaner than standard remotes – a claim that has been backed up by numerous studies.

How do the remotes work?

Clean Remotes have a solid top layer which eliminates the button gaps found on traditional remotes, making them easier and quicker to disinfect. The remotes are easy to program and come in various models so you’re guaranteed to find one that works with your televisions. They stay programmed, even if the batteries are removed, and with their simple key layout, are designed with guests and patients in mind.
