Luxury hotel brands have been growing their presence in the Spanish hotel market, and are now being joined by midscale and economy brands, as locally owned and family run hotels decline.
Spanish hotel group Barcelo has lined up a string of openings through 2024 and 2025, as it accelerates its growth following a strong performance in 2023. As well as new hotel launches, the group plans upgrades and refurbishments at several of its existing properties, altogether representing an investment of more than USD400m.
The Spanish hotel group Barceló has announced several hotel openings for 2023 as a part of its overall plans for growth in Spain and across the globe.
