Southeast Asia’s largest privately owned and independent hotel management group, Archipelago, has expanded its Cuban portfolio with this opening in Havana.

The 600-room GRAND ASTON La Habana Hotel combines a prime location in Vedado with distinct design and abundant lifestyle amenities.

Cuba meets Asian influence

Designed to provide an urban oasis combining Cuban identity with the hotel group’s Asian influence, GRAND ASTON La Habana Hotel is distinguished by its distinct take on upscale modern living.

“We’re delighted to be opening what will become a true icon in the Havana hotel scene,” said John Flood, president and CEO of Archipelago.

“One of the most creatively designed hotels is ready to welcome guests to experience the fusion of Asian and Cuban hospitality in a fantastic location.”

A new urban sanctuary

Interior design fusing Havana style of the 1930s with Asian aesthetics is the backdrop for modern guest rooms, eclectic dining venues and event space, as well as wellness facilities including a fitness centre, spa and 56-metre swimming pool overlooking Havana Bay.

Focusing on treatments based on Asian healing techniques, the hotel’s Wellness Center by Spa Ubud is the only spa in the city offering authentic Balinese massages.

Adding to its convenience, the hotel is also the first in the capital to house a bank branch. With its location in Vedado, the hotel is surrounded by shops, restaurants and entertainment venues.
