Accor has opened its first The Sebel-branded property on the Gold Coast, Australia, after an $11 million upgrade of an existing site.
Sebel Twin Towns Coolangatta debuted following an extensive transformation and rebrand of the ocean tower of Mantra Twin Towns Coolangatta.
Second twin
The hotel sits alongside its sister property, Mantra Twin Towns Coolangatta, and features 120 elegantly appointed guestrooms across five floors, including a selection of Queen Rooms, Twin Rooms and King Suites.
An executive lounge exclusively for The Sebel guests, The Sebel Den, will also launch in the coming months, offering guests a range of elevated experiences.
Accor Pacific CEO, Sarah Derry, said: “We are excited to bring The Sebel, a hotel brand of stature and presence, to the Gold Coast. The Sebel has an exceptional reputation for delivering world-class accommodation and an outstanding guest service experience.”
Style elevation
Accor and Twin Towns Clubs & Resorts have been in partnership since Mantra Twin Towns Coolangatta was launched in 2015.
Twin Towns CEO Rob Smith said: “After five years of planning, we are thrilled to welcome The Sebel brand to Twin Towns and look forward to the future success of this new partnership.
“The $11 million transformation has elevated the hotel rooms to a brand new level of style and sophistication.”
The resort features a range of onsite recreation facilities, such as a heated indoor swimming pool, a resort-style swimming pool, two outdoor spa tubs, a fitness centre and steam room, a mini golf course and games room, and two tennis courts. Plus, Twin Towns’ range of entertainment, restaurants and bars are a short stroll away through a covered walkway.
