The breakdown

LYNK Cloud is a content management solution (CMS) that allows hotels to centrally manage all displays on their property. So what makes LYNK Cloud different from other CMS platforms? We grouped the features into 3 categories 1) content management, 2) device management and 3) business analytics. Let’s tackle them one by one.

1. Content management: Changing how your guest interacts with their TV

Customisable GUI: Unlike its predecessors, LYNK Cloud is powered by WordPress, which means that your guests will experience a beautiful, on-brand platform starting the moment they throw down their bags and flip on the TV.

WordPress’s robust suite of authoring tools allow users to customise colours, fonts, graphics and layouts for your property and brand. And with very few file size restrictions, the options for curating videos, GIFs and images are endless.

Digital concierge: In-room TVs can also be used to support interactive content, which means that guests can order in-room dining, book spa appointments and reserve other facility services without tying up your front-desk staff.

2. Device management: Remotely controlling all displays across your properties

Remote access: With Samsung LYNK Cloud, managers can control all the devices across multiple sites online, which reduces the need for onsite or engineering visits, saving time and money. Through the user-friendly portal, managers can make configuration and programme guide adjustments as well as changes to more basic functions like power, volume, and language settings. Managers can also review error notices in real time to quickly resolve any issues and keep rooms guest-ready.

Streaming platform access: Guests who forgo your regularly scheduled programming can safely and conveniently access their favorite streaming platform – like Netflix – on their in-room television. After they log in once, their credentials are saved until they check-out, at which point they are automatically and securely cleared.

3. Business intelligence: Leveraging guests’ data to deliver effective promotions

Tailored promotions: LYNK Cloud can help managers deliver appealing on-screen promotional content to guests based on their interests during their stay. More effective promotions mean more engaged guests, which ultimately means more revenue for the property. Data points to inform promotions include the specific channels that guests view, the duration and time of day that they watch television, and the services they most frequently use, such as in-room dining and spa appointments

Detect buying pattern trends: Even if guests haven’t pulled the trigger on a service, managers can see guests’ point of entry into and exit from the service to help determine trends and anomalies.

Is LYNK Cloud compatible with your property?

LYNK Cloud is natively compatible with Samsung’s RU750 Hospitality Television or with almost any infrastructure through a Catapult Set-Top-Box (STB). It’s always a good idea to confirm compatibility before placing an order, so give one of our project managers a call at 866-469-7111 or drop us a line at [email protected].
