Langham Hospitality Group is growing its portfolio of luxury properties, with a new hotel lined up for the Australian city of Gold Coast.

Langham Hospitality Group will soon be managing its third luxury property in Australia. We find out more about the upcoming opening and discover what will set it apart from the country’s other hotels.

According to the TOPHOTELCONSTRUCTION online database, 33 hotel projects are currently in Langham’s pipeline:

A new jewel on the Gold Coast

Langham Hospitality Group has revealed plans to manage a new hotel, due to open at the end of 2021, at Surfers Paradise in Gold Coast. On top of the hotel, the group will also be managing the Jewel Residences by The Langham, which offers 170 serviced apartments.

These two properties will both be located in the central and tallest of the three landmark towers of Gold Coast’s Jewel development.

Speaking of the soon-to-be-launched hotel, Stefan Leser, CEO of Langham Hospitality Group, said it would combine cosmopolitan vibrancy and relaxed Gold Coast lifestyle. “We are very much looking forward to complementing our legendary service standards with the warmth of this beautiful city to make all our guests’ experiences celebratory and memorable,” he added.

A refined offering for discerning guests

The new hotel will feature 169 elegant rooms and suites in a prime location right on the beach, making it a true surfer’s paradise or an ideal spot for corporate travellers looking to relax after a long day of meetings and work. In addition, all of The Langham’s suites will offer 180-degree views of the turquoise waters of the Pacific Ocean.

The Langham, Gold Coast and The Jewel Residences are unlike any other resort or serviced apartments currently available on the Gold Coast,” said Simon Manning, chief sales and development officer.

“It will be the ultimate place to stay, offering unparalleled luxury experiences for families, couples, honeymooners holidaying here. And for the locals, it is the perfect setting to celebrate special occasions or beachfront staycations.”

A focus on events and dining

The Langham, Gold Coast’s expansive F&B concept is designed to cater to demanding palates and their desire for a diverse offering. A collection of restaurants, a grab-and-go cafe, a lobby lounge, a pool bar and a sky terrace with ocean views will make up the hotel’s dining offering.

T’ang Court, a famed Cantonese restaurant which will follow in the footsteps of its Michelin-starred counterparts at The Langham properties in Shanghai and Hong Kong, will be the hotel’s culinary highlight. It will feature a main dining area for up to 90 guests and two private dining rooms.

Guests looking for an afternoon pick-me-up can experience The Langham’s signature afternoon tea, a tradition made famous by the hotel brand in 1865. Tea will be served in a peaceful Palm Court lobby lounge.

The hotel will also feature a 700 sq m ballroom, four meeting rooms with a total of 450 sq m and a 500 sq m multi-function room.

The scheme is being developed by AW Holding Group, while the appointed architects for The Langham, Gold Coast and the Jewel are DBI Design and Oppenheim Architecture + Design respectively. Interior design for the hotel is being overseen by Studio Aria.

Langham Hospitality Group encompasses a family of distinctive hospitality brands, which include hotels, resorts, residential serviced apartments, restaurants and spas, located on four continents.
