AC Hotels by Marriott has entered South Korea for the first time with the opening of a new hotel at the heart of Seoul.

The design-led AC Hotel by Marriott Seoul Gangnam introduces the brand’s signature European style to South Korea’s capital city.

Entry to Seoul

The 274-key AC Hotel by Marriott Seoul Gangnam is now hosting guests in space designed to provide an effortless travel experience with all the amenities you need and none of those you don’t.

Designed to appeal to next-gen travellers, the hotel is distinguished by its modern style, open layouts offering functional beauty without the distractions and spacious accommodation including private pool suites.

The hotel is located in the Yeoksam-dong area of Gangnam district. This area is home to the headquarters of multinational companies, as well as upscale shops, restaurants and entertainment venues. Guests can use the hotel as a base for exploring the city’s historic and cultural sites.

“We are thrilled to introduce the AC Hotels brand to South Korea with the opening of AC Hotel by Marriott Seoul Gangnam,” said Jeff Tomczek, global brand leader of AC Hotels. “Seoul is known for its vibrant design scene, making the design-led AC Hotels brand an ideal fit for the city.”

“The hotel is set to offer a perfectly orchestrated experience based on purposeful design, flexible spaces and carefully crafted experiences, which will empower our guests to be more creative, productive and fulfilled.”

Signature brand concepts

The hotel’s guest rooms are harmonious in design and free of clutter for a heightened sense of openness. Sleek furnishings are paired with hardwood floors and an open closet system.

The property’s four premier pool rooms and premier pool suite all feature private swimming pools and terraces with sunbeds. Premium amenities include Bluetooth speakers, Nespresso coffee machines and Korres toiletries.

Public space at the hotel include the brand’s signature Spanish-inspired AC Kitchen offering all-day international dining and the Rooftop bar Kloud serving cocktails and snacks in a space encompassing floor-to-ceiling windows and an outdoor terrace. Artisan teas and coffees are offered in the AC Lounge.

The hotel experience is completed with the on-site gym AC Fitness, the hotel’s sauna facilities, a Kids Lounge operated in collaboration with Kids Skolle and 2,346 sq ft of fully equipped function space accommodating up to 130 people. The rooftop terrace is also available for events.
