Radisson marks brand debut in Belgium

Radisson Hotel Group has debuted the Radisson brand in Belgium with the opening of Radisson Hotel Liège City Centre.

The group now operates 15 properties in Belgium with this Radisson-branded property heightening its multi-brand presence across the country.

Connecting guests to Liège

The new Radisson Hotel Liège City Centre is now welcoming guests at the heart of the city recognised as the third most populous urban area in Belgium, as well as for being one of the most important river ports in Western Europe.

Located in the city’s Sainte-Marguerite neighbourhood, the property is close to landmarks such as Saint-Lambert Cathedral.

“Our aim is to develop real-estate projects exclusively in strategic locations,” said Thomas Lecluse, CEO of Unibricks and owner of the hotel. “We conduct thorough market research beforehand and often, only one proposal out of 50 makes the cut. This was the case for Radisson Liège City Centre, which will add a new accommodation offering to the city of Liège.”

As a part of Nestia Group, this new hotel will join a collection of properties including Radisson Blu Balmoral Hotel, Spa.

The Radisson brand experience

The new property is home to 99 guest rooms and suites spanning six categories from cosy rooms to suites with kitchenettes and balconies. Each room is decorated in the brand’s signature wood-and-white Scandinavian style, with locally inspired accents, for both comfort and functionality.

This accommodation is joined by the Radisson Bar offering a menu highlighting regional products in space designed for both relaxation and business meetings. The hotel’s meeting space then accommodates events for up to 20 people.

“We are excited to introduce our first Radisson branded hotel to Belgium, and to Liège, and tap into the rising trend of bleisure travel,” said Kevin Demarteau, general manager of Radisson Hotel Liège City Centre.

“Radisson Hotel Liège City Centre reflects our local culture in Liège from the black and white photographs to the curated snacks and drinks on the menu, including Curtius, Val-Dieu, and Tripick beers. We hope that both our business and leisure guests will enjoy the Radisson experience.”
