Project of the Week: Lux* La Baraquette Resort & Residences, France
by Lauren Jade Hill | 25 Oct 2021 | Project of the Week, Projects
The forthcoming Marseillan outpost of Lux* Resorts and Hotels, which will overlook a private vineyard and the Thau Lagoon, has won our latest Project of the Week title.
Lux* La Baraquette Resort & Residences will place guests in a picturesque port town in southern France.
The Mediterranean lifestyle
Propriétés & Co is developing this ideally situated five-star resort, which has Slow Life Architects behind its architectural design and Lázaro Rosa-Violán overseeing its interiors in line with the Lux* style. This mixed-use scheme will encompass 84 suites along with 133 apartment residences, 30 Mediterranean patio villas and four waterfront villas – all of the villas benefit from the inclusion of private pools too.
The accommodation has been thoughtfully designed to embody laidback and chic Mediterranean style. For each building, Slow Life Architects drew inspiration from the traditional farmhouses and winemakers’ homes found across the region.
An immersion into the location
Appealingly, owners will have access to a Nautical Club, Lux* La Baraquette Resort & Residences’ 11-acre vineyard and a Wine Academy, offering one-to-one harvest experiences, winemaking courses and wine storage options. Amenities within the complex, which will be available to both residents and guests, include restaurants, wellness facilities and a water-sports offering.
Moreover, majestic views are all but assured at this property, which overlooks a vineyard and the Thau Lagoo. The scheme will also provide a base for travellers to explore Marseillan – said to be one of France’s oldest towns – and the wider Languedoc region, known around the world for its fine wines and delicious oysters.
Currently under construction, Lux* La Baraquette Resort & Residences is due to open in Q1 2024.
