Hilton Worldwide’s upcoming Hotel Palacio de Arozteguia Baztan was delayed by legal issues over property ownership, but after a recent resolution, the project will break ground soon with a new opening date of Q4 2023.
Heritage preservation
Hotel Palacio de Arozteguia Baztan, Curio Collection by Hilton, will be born from a comprehensive renovation of the original palace, in a prime location within the verdant Baztan Valley. All project partners are committed to preserving the architectural heritage of the building, which is set within a 40-hectare estate in Lekaroz.
Said to embody ‘green tourism’, with quality, sustainable accommodation, the revamped property will adhere to the Curio Collection’s commitment to create an individual personality for each of its sites. This Spanish addition will combine a local Navarre identity with international projection.
Accommodation integration
Offering facilities for both leisure and business guests, the hotel will have 126 rooms, spanning from 28 to 80 sq m – many with terraces. The majority will be located in the palace’s original block, and the rest in an additional complex which will be integrated into the environment.
Maximum occupancy will reach 252 people, who will be able to choose standard rooms on the upper floors or suites located in existing buildings. Designs will be inspired by themes of harmony, simplicity, poetry and serenity.
Eating and relaxing
With the site terming ‘gastronomic commitment’ as one of its pillars, its restaurant will offer haute cuisine, based on Navarrese dishes and local products. The onsite eatery will have capacity for 80-120 diners, with a bar forming part of the provision.
The hotel will also offer its guests a spa and wellness space designed for health, relaxation and well-being, with personalised treatments. In addition, these services will be accompanied by a state-of-the-art fitness area, an outdoor pool and green areas for recreation.
Hotel Palacio Arozteguia Baztan Curio Collection will boast event spaces including five meeting rooms over nearly 600 sq m, and a business centre. These differentiated rooms will be designed to host diverse event types. Social event spaces include reserved indoor rooms, as well as outdoors in the location’s green areas and landscaped gardens.
