Prime inner-city location
The boutique hotel will be in a heritage building in Paddington, one of Sydney’s trendiest and most upmarket inner-city locales.
Originally opened in 1911 as the West’s Olympia Theatre, the building will be thoughtfully renovated and transformed into a 109-key 25Hours hotel.
The hotel will also include three concept suites, all of which will contain artwork by Sydney artist Kubi Vasak.
The 5550 square metre space will also contain four food and beverage outlets, including a street-level coffee shop and a rooftop bar with stunning views of the city’s skyline.
There will also be two meeting rooms and a central courtyard in the middle of the hotel which will be used to host live events with capacity of up to 150 people.
Thoughtful reimagining
The hotel will be a joint venture from Accor, Central Element and property investor Boston Global.
Architects Tonkin Zulaikha Greer will take over the design of the hotel, alongside interior design companies A Work of Substance from Hong Kong, and Acme & Co. from Sydney. There are plans to add three levels to the existing height of the building while retaining the existing Edwardian facade.
It will also incorporate a verdant internal garden.
