Project in focus: Swissôtel Dhaka

Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts is planning to open its first property in Bangladesh with the 2022 debut of Swissôtel Dhaka.
This milestone property will be part of Dhaka’s growing business district of Gulsham and across from the thriving commercial hub of Montijheel.
Swissôtel to check into Dhaka
A project that was first announced in 2013 and is now slated for completion in the fourth quarter of 2022, Swissôtel’s first hotel in Bangladesh looks set to be well worth the wait. Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is among the largest cities in South Asia and is expected to expand rapidly in the coming years.
Swissôtel Dhaka is being developed by Bengal Group of Industries in collaboration with architectural firm Interdesign International. JKY Concept is behind the property’s interior design and Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts will manage the hotel.
The five-star property promises to provide travellers with an array of luxury facilities in addition to its 350 generously sized guestrooms.
Pairing business with leisure
Guests staying here can expect to find six restaurants and bars, the Purovel Spa and a swimming pool. For business travellers, the hotel will house 950 sq m of event space, including a 500 sq m ballroom.
In its prime location, the hotel should be easily accessible by all. This site is just 12km from the airport and across from the financial and leisure district Motijheel, which has a freshwater lake that’s been made into a recreation area.
Meanwhile, the Gulshan business district is home to a number of multinational companies and embassies, as well as lots of high-end residences.
