The latest Radisson hotel to open in Istanbul will introduce guests to the metropolitan municipality’s popular Esenyurt district.

The 2022 launch of Radisson Hotel Apartments Delta Istanbul Esenyurt will signify the 15th opening in Istanbul for the Radisson Hotel Group. We take a look at what makes this particular hotel stand out.

An introduction to Esenyurt

When Radisson Hotel Group announced the signing of Radisson Hotel Apartments Delta Istanbul Esenyurt at the beginning of 2020, the group said it would play “a key role in the hotel group’s growth in the Turkish market”. This property increases its portfolio to around 30 hotels either in operation or under development across the country.

The scheme is located in one of the most rapidly growing areas of Istanbul, Esenyurt, which is known for its modern structures and vibrant community. It’s also home to Esenyurt University and is only 15km from Ataturk Airport and 30km from the city centre.

As the first internationally branded upscale hotel in the area, this launch will no doubt boost Esenyurt’s profile locally. On opening, the new hotel apartments will be aimed at both business and leisure travellers.

A major development for Istanbul

The hotel will be part of the 135,000 sq m Wish Istanbul mixed-use development, consisting of two towers encompassing over 40 floors.

In terms of specifics, the hotel apartment tower will house 240 hotel apartments across an area of more than 27,000 sq m. These will be joined by an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby lounge and a pool bar and grill, as well as a spa, an outdoor pool and garden, meeting space spanning 2,190 sq m and 320 parking bays.

From the hotel, guests staying for leisure will be able to visit nearby attractions such as Istanbul Aquarium, Aqua Club Dolphin and Büyükçekmece Grand Aqua Marine.

Developer Wish Istanbul is behind the architecture and interior design and Delta Holding is the property’s management company. The new Radisson hotel in Esenyurt is expected to open in the third quarter of 2022.
