The award-winning Songbird Bluetooth speaker alarm clock was introduced to the hospitality market in 2019 and immediately won a Good Design Award. It has many admirers who will be pleased to hear that a new set of features will be introduced to the Songbird at the end of 2021. Essentially looking the same as the original version, to keep continuity for existing customers, the series B will have a one-time alarm, a volume limiter, USB A & C, a built-in security tether and Oliver Hemming says it will have a more advanced DSP, giving it a more refined tone and balance across the bass, mid and treble.
The new Songbird will appeal to interior designers who are looking for something to specify with a bit more style. Available in two formats, Uptown and Downtown, the designer Oliver Hemming sees its character as the key differentiator that sets it apart from the others: “Our products create a style and emotion that designers can relate to and that makes them want to specify our products rather. Often, we hear people say that ‘we fell in love with your product’, which is a very powerful thing to say.”
Songbird comes in three finishes; ebony veneer, black and white. With hospitality-focused features such as a one-time alarm, security tether, a volume limiter and its beautifully refined tone, the new Songbird series B is, according to the designer Oliver Hemming, just the beginning of a series of luxury audio products.
