The 230-room Park Hyatt Changsha will occupy levels 54 to 63 of Changsha IFS Tower 2, a landmark development in the burgeoning capital of China’s Hunan province.

Signifying the Park Hyatt brand’s entry into Central China, this striking property promises to provide global travellers with a sophisticated hospitality offering.

A heightened presence in Greater China

Hyatt Hotels Corporation and The Wharf (Holdings) have signalled their intention to launch Park Hyatt Changsha in 2023. The ambitious scheme will embody a home-away-from-home concept, with facilities including 230 guestrooms, world-class culinary and wellness experiences, and inspiring event spaces.

“We are delighted to work with The Wharf to introduce the legendary Park Hyatt brand in Changsha,” said Stephen Ho, president of growth and operations, Asia Pacific, Hyatt. “We look forward to this inaugural collaboration with a high-quality, experienced owner who shares our vision to bring guests an immersive luxury experience in this vibrant city.

“The project further emphasises Hyatt’s commitment to expand its luxury and lifestyle portfolio in Greater China and will enable us to create purposeful long-term growth in the region.”

An art-inspired retreat

This new hotel will span levels 54 to 63 of Changsha IFS Tower 2, a key part of a mixed-use development encompassing an expansive shopping mall, two towers with premium office space and a pair of luxury hotels. The site is connected to two subway lines and is only a 30-minute drive from the high-speed railway, as well as a 40-minute drive from Changsha International Airport.

In this location, Park Hyatt Changsha will offer a tranquil retreat from the energetic surroundings, pairing panoramic views with interior design inspired by contemporary art and high-end fashion. “We are confident that the Park Hyatt hotel will be a great addition to Changsha IFS and to the city of Changsha,” said Stephen Ng, chairman and managing director of The Wharf.

Changsha is one of the world’s fastest growing cities. An important commercial and innovation centre in the Yangtze River Delta Economic Belt, it’s also an increasingly popular cultural and entertainment destination.
