Interihotel recovers its physical format in ‘the caring edition’

Barcelona will host from 24-26 November 2021 the reference event for contract-hospitality professionals.

Barcelona will host from 24-26 November 2021 the reference event for contract-hospitality professionals.

After nine editions and thousands of visitors with a buyer and specifier profile per edition, the last few years consolidated Interihotel as an opportunity to connect brands, hotel companies and professionals of hotel and restaurant architecture and interior design.

The last edition, held in February 2021 in a full-digital format, served to reflect a changing model of society that raises the need to go back to the origins to look towards the future. That is the spirit that characterises ‘the caring edition’, which will be held between the 24th and 26th of November 2021 in Centro de Convenciones Internacional de Barcelona (CCIB), which is expected to gather the professionals and brands of over 20 countries that define the way towards the future trends of the sector.

The concept of care, and the need to bet on the social commitment, wellbeing of people and environmental sustainability in hotel and restoration spaces, are the fundamental pillars of this event that recovers its face-to face format, complying with all the measures recommended by health authorities. ‘The caring edition’ will cover five themes (concept, social purpose, our planet, wellbeing and humanist tech) and will still be the showroom for a hundred leading brands of the sector with international projection. Registrations to participate as exhibitors in the next Interihotel edition are still open on its website, interihotel.com.

Interihotel, organised by CENFIM Furnishings Cluster, is the undisputed contract-hospitality annual meeting point, that offers an environment designed to facilitate the B2B relationship between architecture and interior design professionals, developers and investors, hotel managers, distributors and product brands. And it does so not only by creating meeting spaces, but also by scheduling workshops to hone the professional skills of the attendees, conferences and discussion panels with speakers of international relevance such as the architect Izaskun Chinchilla (London – Madrid), author of ‘the city of the care’, the extraordinary Bill Bensley (Bangkok) or the acclaimed Mexican designer Héctor Esrawe (CDMX).

In addition to acting as a showroom for companies that provide comprehensive equipment for contract projects all over the world, and for manufacturers and publishers of all kinds of products for hotel and restaurant interior design (furniture, lighting, textiles, flooring, etc), the next edition of Interihotel will offer its visitors unique experiences to discover the latest trends in hotel spaces with a careful staging.

The event is the ideal setting to wave a solid network of contacts and, at the same time, to be filled with inspiration. In each edition, over 1,000 opportunities for hotel reform or new construction projects are identified. Among the activities that generate these synergies between specifiers and buyers in the contract-hospitality sector, Interihotel counts with ‘the international mission’, which brings together specifiers and procurement directors of hotel groups and renowned first-class interior and architecture firms from the UK, Mexico and the US. This event takes place within the European project wellianceHOSPITALITY, led by CENFIM.

The new travellers define the hotels to come. For this reason, Interihotel created the innovation laboratory, a space designed to connect trends, technology and people through an exhibition of applied trends. Visitors will be able to see the interpretation of four prestigious interior design studios on four traveller profiles through four large format moodboards.

The organisation of the event will announce the Interihotel awards to promote innovation among its exhibitors and hotel interior design professionals. The awards will recognise the most innovative product for hotel interior design, the best stand in Interihotel, the best hotel project and the career of a professional in the hospitality design sector.
