IHG to grow voco brand presence in India with new opening

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Ginger Tree Goveia for a new voco hotel in Goa, with an expected opening date of January 2025.

The signing of the 110-key voco Goa Arpora aligns with IHG’s growth strategy for the premium voco brand in the Indian market.

Brand growth

This new voco hotel will cater to the growing demand for premium and unique accommodation options in the popular coastal destination. 

Signifying continued growth across India for the brand, this announcement follows the signing of voco hotels in Jim Corbett and Gurugram. The brand is known for pairing the informality and charm of an individual hotel with the quality and reassurance of a global name.

A vibrant new stay

The forthcoming voco hotel will provide a vibrant base for getting to know the beaches, nightlife, temples and other World Heritage listed architecture Goa is known for. The hotel will be centrally located in North Goa, close to boutique shopping, dining experiences, night markets and the beaches of Baga and Calangute.

Here, this new property will offer guests a modern and comfortable hospitality experience that also reflects its locale. The hotel’s accommodation will be complemented by a wealth of amenities including an outdoor pool, gym and spa, event space and three dining options including a bar and lobby lounge.
