Atwell Suites Miami Brickell occupies the top floors of a dual-branded property also containing the March-2021-opened Hotel Indigo Miami Brickell.
As the world’s first Atwell Suites, this milestone opening signifies the start of a stylish, design-forward brand for the rapidly growing all-suites segment.
The creation of a new longer-stay brand
Created by IHG Hotels & Resorts in partnership with Sunview Companies, Atwell Suites Miami Brickell is now hosting its first guests in a modern, fresh space designed for recharging, connecting and an immersion into the destination.
IHG’s new Atwell Suites brand sits in the all-suites upper-midscale category and was created to cater to the growing demand for design-led hospitality supporting longer stays, both in business and leisure.
This new property affords discovery of an area voted one of the coolest neighbourhoods in the world, Brickell. By staying here, guests have easy access to some of the city’s best restaurants, shopping, attractions and nightlife.
Karen Gilbride, VP global avid hotels and Atwell Suites, said: “IHG Hotels & Resorts is excited to open the world’s first Atwell Suites. This offering was created to be a stylish, design-forward brand that has been absent in the rapidly growing all-suites segment.”
“Designed alongside our Owner Advisory Board and with deep-rooted consumer insights on what guests need in this space, we are confident we created something that will impress guests, investors, and future owners. We look forward to seeing the success of Atwell Suites Miami Brickell and opening more properties across the U.S.”
The brand portfolio will consist of both new-builds and conversions. More than 22 of these new branded properties are now in the pipeline across the U.S., with two expected to open in 2022.
Designed for work and rest
Each space of the hotel is designed for flexibility. Suites designed for work and rest feature a counter-height desk and chair, in-room wet bar and spacious bathroom. The lobby then includes co-working space and huddle and lounge areas for productivity or relaxation.
A stay here comes with complimentary breakfast and the bar serves shareable small plates each evening. A 24/7 complimentary beverage station offers grind-and-brew espresso and lattes, as well as still or sparkling water, in the lobby.
Other signature touches throughout include the signature scent of bamboo and green moss, conversation starter coasters at the bar, a curated playlist with an eclectic mix of up-and-coming artists and monthly themed events held to bring guests together.
Pedro Villar, lead developer of Sunview Companies, said: “The Atwell Suites all-suite design concept is the perfect complement to the Hotel Indigo Miami Brickell. Atwell Suites’ guests will be able to enjoy all that both brands have to offer under one roof, along with spacious suites and spectacular views of the city, a high-rise bar, and more.”
“This offering is one that Miami has yet to see, and we are excited to be the first. We believe in the strength of the Atwell Suites proposition and can’t wait to welcome guests into our new hotel.”
