Hyatt Regency resort and residences to open in southern Vietnam

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced plans to create a spectacular resort-and-residences scheme in a popular beach destination near Ho Chi Minh City.
Expected to reach completion in 2024, Hyatt Regency Ho Tram Resort and Spa and Residences is set to become the first Hyatt Regency development in the south of Vietnam. We take a look at what’s being planned for this striking coastal scheme.
Strategic expansion in Vietnam
After confirming that a Hyatt Hotels Corporation affiliate has entered into an agreement with IFF Holdings Joint Stock Company for the creation of Hyatt Regency Ho Tram Resort and Spa and Residences, the Chicago-headquartered hospitality company revealed what visitors can expect at the property. Altogether, the scheme will comprise 280 guest rooms and 63 pool villas residences, along with a wealth of leisure facilities, in a prime location spanning over 1,000 ft of coastline.
Known for its picturesque beaches, Ho Tram is a popular weekend destination for Vietnamese nationals, but is also now growing in popularity among international travellers helped by its burgeoning MICE reputation.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with IFF Holdings for the first time on Hyatt Regency Ho Tram Resort and Spa and Residences as we continue to prioritise thoughtful growth in locations that matter most to our guests, World of Hyatt members, customers and owners,” said David Udell, group president of Hyatt in Asia-Pacific. This will be a strategic addition to our brand footprint in Vietnam and will complement Hyatt’s growing resort offerings, which include future openings in key leisure destinations such as Halong Bay and Phu Quoc.”
A nature-inspired hospitality offering
This resort will be designed to immerse guests in the surrounding natural landscape, which will be carefully preserved, with stylish contemporary interiors inspired by nature and uninterrupted sea views. The residences here will range from two to five bedrooms in size with their own pools, providing owners and guests with complete privacy.
Guests and residents will have access to various facilities, including a number of restaurants and bars, designated adults’ and kids’ swimming pools, a kids’ club, a playground, an elevated forest walk, a detox spa and extensive event space.
“Hyatt Regency Ho Tram Resort and Spa and Residences will raise the hospitality benchmark in Ho Tram with its premium standard in terms of design, hospitality and service,” said Nguyen Thi Mai, chairwoman of IFF Holdings. “We are delighted to collaborate with Hyatt on this defining project to deliver an exceptional experience for local guests and international travellers visiting Ho Tram.”
The site earmarked for development, on Ho Tram’s main coastal road, is just a 90-minute drive from Ho Chi Minh City. The nearby Long Thanh International Airport is expected to open in 2025, further boosting the area’s accessibility.
