Hyatt Centric brand enters India’s capital city

The brand signified its entry to the capital with the opening of Hyatt Centric Janakpuri New Delhi.
The milestone 224-key property comes with multifunctional guest rooms, a dining experience introducing guests to local flavours and flexible meeting and event space.
A new base for business and leisure travellers
Hyatt Centric Janakpuri New Delhi is now open after the refurbishment of an existing property. The hotel’s interiors are distinguished by the playful juxtaposition of colours, textures and handpicked design features.
The property lies adjacent to the Janakpuri West Metro and District Centre. Catering for both business and leisure travellers, the hotel provides easy access to the rest of Delhi and the National Capital Region.
“Hyatt Centric Janakpuri New Delhi is the perfect destination for curious-minded, modern-day explorers who want to be at the heart of the action,” said Shikha Singh, general manager at Hyatt Centric Janakpuri New Delhi. “Our engaged and passionate team is excited to share their local knowledge, encouraging our guests to discover something new.”
“With its accessible location, multi-dimensional event spaces, and unique food and beverage experiences, Hyatt Centric Janakpuri New Delhi offers share-worthy experiences for both local residents and visitors, featuring designs and collaborations based on a shared vision of finding new ways of sustainable living and the advancement of local artisans.”
Representing Delhi
Each of the hotel’s 224 contemporary guest rooms comes with purposeful and multifunctional elements including a compact desk and lounging area. The locally made and organic n-room bath amenities are produced specifically for the hotel by SR Herbal Luxury.
The hotel’s all-day dining restaurant Kitchen District served dishes incorporating local flavours in a casual environment and this is joined by the property’s relaxed cafe. Meetings and events are then hosted in 52,000 sq ft of indoor and outdoor space accommodating up to 2,500 people at once.
In terms of its design, the hotel aims to connect guests with the destination through its modern architecture and interiors with the restaurant in particular featuring inspiration taken from Iranian cafés with a contemporary Middle Eastern and Indian look.
The hotel has collaborated with emerging local artists, designers and food producers to further reflect Delhi’s unique identity. These collaborations have resulted in street art in hotel spaces and unexplored Delhi experiences. Guests can tour the city with the hotel’s guided walking vendor, Unzip Delhi.
