The new 227-room Hyatt Centric hotel plans to launch in spring 2021 as part of the ambitious One Beale mixed-use development in Memphis.

The first full-service Hyatt hotel to open in Memphis, this property aims to become a key social hub, perfect for travellers looking to explore the renowned Entertainment District.

A prime location in downtown Memphis

Located on the corner of Memphis’s famous Beale Street and Front Street, Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis is a 15-minute drive from Memphis International Airport and just steps from the culture, food and nightlife of downtown Memphis. The colours, texture and decor of this hotel’s interiors will reflect Memphis’s vibrant energy, with artful touches paying homage to the city’s musical heritage.

“Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis will pride itself on offering an immersive experience that transports guests beyond the walls of the hotel to the heart of the action on Beale Street,” said Sarah Titus, general manager. “I’m particularly excited to see our food and beverage experiences come to life and become favorite locales for travellers and locals alike. We’re eager to become a unique launchpad for savvy travellers who are seeking a taste of local flavour and a stay worth sharing.”

The pet-friendly Hyatt Centric property will house 227 guest rooms, including 12 suites, where neutral colours are complemented by vintage wall graphics, leather headboards and large windows with views of the Mississippi River and the Memphis skyline. In-room amenities range from rainfall showers to Keurig coffee makers.

A new lifestyle destination for guests and locals

Facilities within the hotel will include the only resort-style pool experience in the downtown area, with a sundeck and private poolside cabanas sure to pull in the crowds. Dining experiences will range from the Latin American-inspired restaurant CIMAS and lively CIMAS Lobby Lounge to the eighth-storey rooftop whiskey bar Beck & Call, incorporating an open-air patio concept with fire pits.

There’ll also be a 24-hour Lobby Market, a fitness studio with Life Fitness equipment and valet service. In addition, the hotel will house 9,000 sq ft of flexible event space following the conversion of the 1879-built William C Ellis and Sons Ironworks and Machine Shop; this space, accommodating up to 450 people for meetings and up to 500 for social events, is complemented by a 3,500 sq ft event lawn with views over the Mississippi River.
