Hilton Hotels has revealed a second site for its NoMad brand, as it starts to plan global growth for the luxury lifestyle concept.
The new hotel will be in Singapore, joining the launch property which has been trading in London since 2021. To be developed with local partner UOL Group, NoMad Singapore will open in early 2027, bringing a new vibe to Asia.
Part of a larger vibrant development
The hotel will form a third element in a mixed use development under way, which UOL is creating on a major site on Singapore’s Orchard Road. The group has already completed the Pan Pacific Orchard hotel, and is bringing forward the Upperhouse luxury residential development. NoMad Singapore will create the third element of the overall scheme.
“The signing of our first hotel in Singapore marks an exciting introduction of our brand to Asia Pacific,” said Andrew Zobler, founder & CEO, The Sydell Group. “This debut is just the beginning as we seek out the best destinations to introduce NoMad, with several deals in advanced discussions in destinations in North America, Europe and beyond.”
The Singapore NoMad will feature 173 rooms, and feature the brand’s eclectic yet luxurious feel, already established in its London property. Rooms will see work from local artists included in their decor, building on the concept of a home from home.
“We look forward to making NoMad a standout presence in the market,” said UOL chief operating officer, Noe Soon Hua. “It will deliver exceptional stays that go beyond traditional luxury and resonate with discerning travellers.”
Hilton bought the NoMad brand in 2024, from its developer Sydell Group. Sydell, led by Andrew Zobler, will continue to lead on design, management and branding, while Hilton looks to roll out the brand to key destinations around the globe. At acquisition, Hilton said it expected to deliver up to 100 NoMad hotels eventually, with up to 10 initial sites actively under discussion.
Building a luxury presence in Asia Pacific
The Singapore project joins a growing Asia Pacific regional pipeline for Hilton, which aims to grow its luxury segment presence to 150 hotels over time. Its Waldorf Astoria brand is one of those luxury segment brands, and over the next two years it will open new hotels in Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, Shanghai, Tokyo, Xi’an and Hanoi. The Kuala Lumpur hotel, with 272 rooms, is expected to open in early 2026, while the 220 room Waldorf Astoria One Circular Quay will add a striking tower to the Sydney skyline, opening in late 2026.
Also building its presence is Conrad, with hotels coming to Xi’an, Chengdu, and Nanjing in China, plus Nagoya, Japan. The 170 room Conrad Nagoya will open in autumn 2026, featuring 170 bedrooms, a rooftop bar and four restaurants.
And Conrad Nanjing Jiangbei, already under construction, will sit within a 300 metre high skyscraper, with standout features including a transparent glazed swimming channel high in the air. Also opening in 2026 will be the Conrad Altay Hemu Ski Resort, a 120 room winter sports resort in the north of China.
