Showcasing a fun aesthetic inspired by bourbon and horse racing, a new 128-room hotel owned by O’Reilly Hospitality Management has become the toast of the Bluegrass State.

An impressive hospitality scheme has opened in the heart of Kentucky’s largest city.

Ideally located for discovering Louisville

Cambria Hotel Louisville Downtown-Whiskey Row is now hosting guests at 120 South Floyd Street.

From here, guests have easy access to Waterfront Park, Louisville Slugger Field and the KFC Yum Center, and are just steps away from the restaurants, bars and nightlife of Whiskey Row. The hotel’s also only a short walk from foodie neighbourhood NuLu and within easy reach of Kentucky International Convention Center, Ford, EY, the University of Louisville and the University of Louisville Hospital.

“The Cambria Hotel Louisville Downtown-Whiskey Row perfectly illustrates the best of the brand, with its exceptional location in the home of the Kentucky Derby and steps from downtown’s top attractions and carefully curated amenities, which make for an authentically local stay,” said Janis Cannon, senior vice president, upscale brands, Choice Hotels.

“As guests continue to return to travel, we know how important it is to craft inspiring design and special moments so they can stay at their best – whether travelling for fun, on business, or a hybrid of both. We can’t wait to bring even more hotels to guests’ favourite locations in the next few weeks, including Austin, Texas and Calabasas, California.”

Space to work, relax and socialise

This upscale property, Cambria Hotels’ first outpost in Kentucky, caters for business and leisure travellers with a range of amenities, including contemporary and sophisticated guestrooms with spa-style bathrooms, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, and multifunctional meeting and event space. There are also plenty of places to relax, not least a sundeck and an indoor heated pool.

Guests and locals can dine at the Jackdaw restaurant, offering modern Irish flavours, or Magnum Moon Hayloft Bar & Grill, for American dining options, craft beer, wine, specialty cocktails and Kentucky bourbon.

Cambria Hotel Louisville Downtown-Whiskey Row’s decor is locally inspired and uses natural materials such as walnut, marble fused with cognac and gold metals, accompanied by striking equestrian elements. The hotel was developed by Cardinal Hotel Partners, an affiliate of O’Reilly Hospitality Management.

“We are ecstatic to enter the Louisville market with this amazing upscale Cambria Hotel,” said Tim O’Reilly, co-owner and CEO of O’Reilly Hospitality Management. “The hotel is incredibly comfortable and infused with design and artwork that is inspired by two local favourites – horse racing and bourbon.

“Our lobby and common areas are full of surprises like our Jackdaw Coffee & Bourbon Bar, the Magnum Moon Hayloft Bar & Grill with a full-size replica of its namesake racehorse, as well as plush meeting spaces that are designed to serve our guests on any occasion.”
