Experienced hotel managers Andreas Acker and David Nuenemann have joined forces to create a new hospitality consultancy, Shoreline Hospitality.

Drawing on their impressive industry backgrounds, Acker and Nuenemann are now offering a consulting service to independent hotels and resorts, as well as international restaurants. We take a closer look at what this new outfit is promising.

A wealth of experience

Between them, Acker and Nuenemann have worked in some of the most renowned hotels across the globe, with FairmontRaffles Hotels & Resorts, The Peninsula Hotels, Kempinski Hotels, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and Urban Resort Concepts among the high-profile names in their portfolio.

Acker has spent 20 years working for properties across Europe, the US, South-East Asia, China, the Middle East and the Caribbean. Nuenemann, meanwhile, has built up a wealth of management experience in hotels across Europe, the US, the Middle East, China and the Caribbean, with a total of ten years spent in a remote island environment.

Acker has been involved in the opening, rebranding and renovation of various hotels in managerial positions, most recently as general manager of a newly launched property in China. And Nuenemann was responsible for operating a resort in the ultra-luxury segment before, most recently, working as a general manager to subsequently serve as the owner’s representative and asset manager for several companies.

A new era

Now, after these years spent overseas, the two hospitality specialists have decided to combine their expertise in Hamburg by founding their own consultancy. While the pair plan to offer consulting services to hotels, resorts and restaurants around the world, the Caribbean and South-East Asia are expected to be key markets.

The new consultancy will focus on independent small and medium-sized companies, with services ranging from assessing the monthly operating results and carrying out company audits to the interim management of properties and project management. To set itself apart from more traditional consulting businesses, Shoreline Hospitality is offering a range of packages at fixed prices, along with bespoke solutions tailored to client requirements.
