SIGNIEL Seoul honoured as the ‘Best Hotel in Asia’, SIGNIEL Busan as the ‘Best New Hotel in Asia’, and LOTTE Hotel Seoul acknowledged as the ‘Best Hotel in South Korea’ and the ‘Best MICE Hotel’.
Global Traveler has announced the results of its 2021 Global Traveler Tested Reader Survey Awards, with three LOTTE hotels receiving a quadruple crown on 1 December.
Established in the US in 2004, Global Traveler is an internationally renowned travel magazine with over 300,000 subscribers. The 2021 GT Tested Awards conducted a readers’ survey from December 2020 to September 2021 and selected top corporates and organisations from the global luxury travel industry in fields such as hotels, airlines, airports and duty-free.
Firstly, SIGNIEL Seoul was chosen as the ‘Best Hotel in Asia’ for the second consecutive year. Global luxury hotels such as The Peninsula Bangkok and Mandarin Oriental Taipei were surpassed, which makes the achievement more special.
Especially, SIGNIEL Seoul received accolades from various international awards this year, such as being ranked fifth among the ‘Top 30 Hotels in Asia’ by Condé Nast Traveler, and receiving a triple crown in the World Luxury Hotel Awards. It continues to succeed with its reputation as the ‘destination hotel’.
SIGNIEL Busan was honoured as the ‘Best New Hotel in Asia’. Although numbers of hotels have opened since last year, SIGNIEL Busan is the only hotel in Korea among the top ten. Located in the LCT landmark tower, SIGNIEL Busan boasts rooms with panoramic ocean views. Various facilities such as F&B consulted by Michelin-starred chef Bruno Menard, an infinity pool, an in-house guest lounge and kids lounge, and premium services are offered at SIGNIEL Busan.
LOTTE Hotel Seoul was acknowledged as the ‘Best Hotel in South Korea’ and the ‘Best MICE Hotel’ for the tenth and seventh consecutive years respectively. The hotel is equipped with perfect facilities for business travellers including the biggest royal suite in Korea, 1,015 guestrooms and 14 banquet halls. Moreover, premium services at Executive Tower such as the ‘personal check-in service’, which provides detailed assistance upon arrival, and in-house guest lounge ‘Le Salon’ seem to be among the main factors for the accolade.
Meanwhile, LOTTE Hotel Seoul’s French restaurant Pierre Gagnaire à Seoul has received one star in the Michelin Guide Seoul 2022. As in its third year, Pierre Gagnaire à Seoul stands firm as a one-Michelin-starred restaurant since its reopening in September 2018. It is the only restaurant in Korea to offer Chef Pierre Gagnaire’s cuisine, who is greatly loved by epicures as a grand chef.
