Hard Rock Hotels to enter the Big Apple in April 2022
by Lauren Jade Hill | 29 Nov 2021 | Design

The newbuild Hard Rock Hotel New York, which boasts interiors by Jeffrey Beers International, has started accepting reservations ahead of its debut in the spring.
The highly anticipated music-inspired property will deliver entertainment, innovative culinary concepts and immersive experiences.
A new flagship property
Currently nearing completion, Hard Rock Hotel New York is set to welcome guests to its flagship location at 159 West 48th Street, with reservations now being taken from April 2022 onwards. The property is situated just moments away from Times Square, Broadway, Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park and Fifth Avenue.
“This is a monumental moment for Hard Rock International and a true milestone in our journey to elevate our lifestyle hotels portfolio,” said Dale Hipsh, senior vice president of hotels for Hard Rock International. “New York City is the culture capital of the world and as a brand, we have been eagerly anticipating the right opportunity to bring our entertainment-infused hospitality experience to this market.”
An immersive stay
This newly constructed hotel will comprise 446 guestrooms and suites, including the 34th-floor bilevel, glass-enclosed Rock Star Suite. The guest offering will incorporate an on-demand in-room Rock Om programme fusing yoga with a DJ-curated soundtrack, along with a series of transformative experiences, including rooftop moonlight yoga.
Signature experiences and amenities here are to include Sound of Your Stay, allowing guests to listen to musicians’ curated playlists, request a Crosley record player or play a Fender guitar in the privacy of their own room.
The hotel’s programming also caters for family travellers, guests with pets and those wanting to explore the city with interactive area guides. And the property will offer visitors a backstage pass to the city’s historic Music Row.
A vibrant culinary and entertainment programme
Among the forthcoming scheme’s many highlights are the upscale NYY Steak, created in partnership with the New York Yankees; the RT60 Rooftop bar, offering sharing plates and craft cocktails; and the brand’s signature Sessions Restaurant & Bar, bringing unplugged musical performances to a three-storey atrium with open-air terrace. These establishments will be complemented by The Venue on Music Row, an entertainment space accommodating up to 400 people.
The hotel’s being designed by Jeffrey Beers International to bring the brand’s music-inspired vision to life, helped by a liberal smattering of memorabilia from legendary musicians, not least Joey Ramone’s motorcycle jacket, Lady Gaga’s silver patent leather boots and John Lennon’s handwritten lyrics for the song ‘New York City’.
