Accommodation for Macao’s high rollers has been taken to another level with the unveiling of the Grand Suites at Four Seasons.

A first of its kind for the Four Seasons brand

Set over 40 storeys, the impressive new all-suite tower at Four Seasons Hotel Macao is a first for the Four Seasons brand. Taking the hotel’s total room count to 649, the 289 new units have been divided into five categories: the one-bedroom Dynasty Suites (which are the smallest and begin at 160 sq m), the two-bedroom Imperial Suites, the three-bedroom Taipan and Skyview Suites, and the sprawling two-storey Skyview Villas spanning more than 455 sq m each.

“Macao is a place of change, constantly adapting and rejuvenating with the times. We are thrilled to launch the Grand Suites at Four Seasons with our partners at Sands China, adding new energy to Cotai Strip and bringing our guests a new generation of bespoke service, privacy and luxury accommodation in Macao,” said Rainer Stampfer, president, hotel operations – Asia Pacific at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

Dr Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China, continued: “This exciting addition to Sands China’s portfolio indicates our commitment to Macao tourism, even at this challenging time. The Grand Suites at Four Seasons offers further portfolio differentiation and opportunities in the growing leisure and MICE sectors and sets bold new benchmarks for guest experience and luxury. We remain confident in Macao and continue to invest in its future.”

A home away from home

With only five units per floor, each suite has been designed according to a ‘hotel as home’ concept. As such, every single one has its own plunge pool, while a walk-in kitchenette boasts home appliances such as a conventional oven, dishwasher and wine cellar from top-of-the-range brands like Miele and Gaggenau. Other features include a full walk-in closet, a private fitness suite, a steam and sauna room, and a Hansgrohe AXOR shower solution in the bathrooms.

Meanwhile, the choice of bespoke services includes a tea ceremony, a ritual performed upon entering the suite, with five types of tea curated by respected tea house Fook Ming Tong; a collection of six Bath Rituals, including a lavish Champagne and chocolate-dipped strawberry bath; or an in-suite culinary offering, which involves stocking up the kitchenette with pre-ordered ingredients, or making the most of the Four Seasons master chefs for a private dining experience.

Elsewhere, Vista 38, the dining room on the 38th floor, serves up Sichuan dishes from Chinese master chef Lan Minglu against spectacular views of Cotai Strip.

Vikram Reddy, regional vice president at Four Seasons Asia Pacific and general manager at Four Seasons Hotel Macao, said: “Having the largest Four Seasons in this vibrant city is a testament to our commitment to push the envelope on luxury accommodation experiences. We will continue to raise the benchmark of service that we provide to our guests while helping strengthen Macao’s position as a world travel destination.”

Four Seasons is a Canadian-based company that manages an international portfolio of luxury five-star hotels and resorts.
