The prolific hotel brand is preparing to enter the People’s Republic with the opening of a contemporary property in Weifang, complete with outstanding event facilities.

The internationally recognised La Quinta by Wyndham flag will soon have a presence in China.

Meeting rising demand

Scheduled to launch in late December 2021, the 200-key La Quinta by Wyndham Weifang South will bring the brand’s hospitality concept to Shandong province as it continues to grow throughout APAC. The hotel lies adjacent to the Sinomall in Fangzi, and is around 30 minutes from Weifang railway station and just 12 minutes from Weifang Nanyuan Airport.

It represents the inaugural La Quinta-branded property in China.

“The launch of our La Quinta by Wyndham brand in China marks our latest milestone in expanding Wyndham’s multi-brand strategy through attractive and innovative hotel brands across the country,” said Joon Aun Ooi, president in Asia Pacific for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

“There is a strong demand for branded accommodation in emerging cities all across China – including Weifang – which is fast becoming a thriving destination for business and leisure. The La Quinta by Wyndham Weifang South, with its well-appointed guestrooms and collection of exceptional meeting venues, is set to bring our brand vision to life, and provide our guests with a fantastic leisure or business travel experience.”

Catering for business and leisure

The 200-key hotel aims to win over travellers through its contemporary design, strong service offering, and excellent conference and banqueting facilities. Each guestroom and suite will be equipped with convenient amenities including LED TVs, high-speed wifi, and bathrooms with rain showers and bathtubs.

During their stay, visitors will be able to make use of the 600 sq m Fit Lounge gym and yoga room, the executive lounge with private check-in and check-out, dedicated concierge and an exclusive meeting room. Dining options include Xian Café, for all-day dining in a panoramic setting with show kitchens; hotpot restaurant The Tasty; and Chinese restaurant Xiang Palace, offering fine Cantonese and Shandong cuisine and encompassing seven private dining rooms.

The hotel aims to become one of the city’s leading MICE [meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions] venues, with 3,400 sq m of conference and banquet space including a 750 sq m banquet hall, 12 meeting rooms and a 1,500 sq m ballroom with holographic projection facility and the city’s biggest embedded LED screen.
