Wyndham set to introduce Trademark Collection to Portugal
The Trademark Collection by Wyndham brand will enter Portugal with the opening of a 49-room boutique hotel in the heart of the country’s second largest city in April 2022.
The new Fontinha Hotel Porto aims to attract travellers looking to experience everything that Porto has to offer.
A Portugese debut
The world’s largest hotel franchising company Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has announced that Fontinha Hotel Porto, the first Trademark Collection by Wyndham hotel in Portugal, will make its debut in April 2022. This 49-key property is located in Porto’s shopping district, close to Rua Santa Catarina Street.
Christian Michel, vice president for development in Europe for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said: “Porto has become a popular city thanks to its rich culture scene and picturesque locales, which made it the perfect fit to launch the brand in this exciting market. We are thrilled to add Portugal to the exciting destinations where Trademark Collection by Wyndham can be found, which is testament to Wyndham’s recognition amongst owners and travellers.”
Heightened brand presence
This new hotel in Portugal’s second largest city will host guests in stylish rooms featuring modern design flourishes that draw on the history and creativity of Porto. There’ll also be a restaurant, lounge bar and private garden.
Trademark Collection launched in 2017 to cater for travellers in search of distinctive but attainable accommodation options in sought-after locations. The brand has recently made its debut in Belgium, Hungary, Romania and Greece, while also growing its presence in the UK.
Notable Trademark Collection openings across Europe lately include the 74-key Lazart Hotel Thessaloniki; Bucharest Central, Trademark Collection by Wyndham; Staindrop Lodge Sheffield, Trademark Collection by Wyndham; and Trafford Hall Manchester, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, which is situated just a mile away from the Old Trafford football stadium.
