Rising 120 metres high, the Loucas Zahos Architects-designed Wyndham Grand Adelaide will become one of South Australia’s tallest hotels when it opens in 2024.

The landmark new 34-storey property will lie at the heart of Adelaide’s Central Business District. We find out more.

Reaching new heights

Rising up to 120 metres from King William Street, Wyndham Grand Adelaide aims to become a new icon for the city. The estimated AU$150 million tower, which is being developed by Equinox Property, will house 347 guest rooms and suites, plus a range of facilities that promise to elevate the brand’s concept of approachable luxury.

“The South Australian capital has been experiencing a surge of investment, with new infrastructure projects such as the expansion of Adelaide Airport, the revamp of the Adelaide Oval, and now, the creation of one of the city’s tallest hotels,” said Joon Aun Ooi, president of Asia Pacific for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. “We are excited to be part of this prestigious project. Wyndham Grand is known for its iconic locations, so I can think of no better way to introduce the brand to Australia.”

New lifestyle venues for Adelaide

On completion, the hotel’s rooms and suites will pair interior design featuring green walls, plush furnishings and marble fixtures with floor-to-ceiling windows framing Adelaide’s skyline.

The accompanying lifestyle facilities will include an infinity pool with deck and bar for panoramic city views, a fitness centre and a spa with sauna and treatment rooms. The property’s culinary offering, meanwhile, is to comprise an upscale restaurant, a wine bar, a hill-facing sky bar with outdoor seating and a rooftop restaurant, which the hotel aims to make one of the city’s top dining destinations.

The property’s development is being managed by Guava Lime Property Solutions and the architecture is being designed by Loucas Zahos Architects.
