Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has grown the Danish footprint of its Dolce Hotels & Resorts by Wyndham brand in partnership with Comwell Hotels.

Dolce Hotels & Resorts by Wyndham now has a property in central Copenhagen. We take a closer look at what’s in store for guests.

A new lifestyle hub for Copenhagen

Following on from the opening of Comwell Aarhus, Dolce by Wyndham in September 2019, the new 444-room Comwell Copenhagen Portside, Dolce by Wyndham is the second hotel that Wyndham has opened in Denmark in collaboration with Danish chain Comwell Hotels.

The new hotel lies within the city’s Nordhavnen district, offering easy access to attractions such as The Little Mermaid, Tivoli Gardens and Amalienborg Palace, and is distinguished by its architecture, drawing inspiration from the city’s historic warehouses. Its sleek Danish interiors showcase a range of facilities including a restaurant, a deli, a bar, a rooftop fitness centre, a co-working area and 17 meeting rooms, as well as two lush green courtyards.

The property is designed according to the Dolce hotel concept, which aims to inspire and delight guests through experiences, state-of-the-art spaces and curated cuisine.

Wyndham’s brand-building efforts in Denmark

This new Copenhagen scheme joins a growing international collection of Dolce hotels, which now host travellers in destinations ranging from Portugal and Greece to the US and Vietnam.

“We are thrilled to build on our fruitful partnership with Comwell Hotels and leverage their strong expertise to further expand our Dolce brand in Denmark,” said Dimitris Manikis, president of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts EMEA. “Praised for its culture, global connectivity and culture, Copenhagen is a renowned destination and we are delighted to add this impressive location to our accommodation and meeting options around the world.”

“We are very proud to be part of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts,” added Peter Schelde, group CEO of Comwell Hotels. “Our brand and award-winning concepts are a good match with Dolce by Wyndham. With our new hotel in Denmark’s capital, we can now offer a state-of-the-art hotel filled with Danish design, quality and art in the centre of Copenhagen.”
