Wyndham Hotels has added 25 more hotels in Europe to its brand portfolio, as it strengthens its affiliation with Continental partner HR Group.
The properties are switching to operation under either the Trademark Collection, or as part of the growing Vienna House brand, with additions across Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. Eight of the additions are joining the Vienna House Easy brand, with all but one being located in Germany, and the eighth at Amsterdam airport.
Rebranding Centro hotels
The new hotels all joined the HR stable in 2024, when the company acquired hotels operated by Centro. Ruslan Husry, CEO of HR Group said that integrating the Centro properties into the Wyndham system is a significant milestone. “These additions position us to better serve travellers exploring Germany’s key gateway cities and beyond, while strengthening our presence in the European travel market. By combining Wyndham’s global reach, advanced technology, and renowned loyalty program with HR Group’s local expertise and deep operational experience, these hotels will offer seamless travel for both business and leisure travellers.”
Additions to Trademark, Wyndham’s collection brand of distinctly different hotel properties, and many will retain their Centro name alongside the Trademark branding. The hotels include one Austrian destination, Salzburg, with the restr spread across Germany. Key destinations include the major cities of Cologne, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart. Secondary cities coming into the brand portfolio include Boblingen, Ringsheim, Sautter, Stern and Trier.
HR Group is a major operator of hotels across central Europe, supporting many major brand groups including Accor, Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott, Radisson, and IHG by operating their hotels under banners. Wyndham and HR Group have been working more closely together since 2022, when Wyndham acquired the Vienna House brand from HR for EUR44m. At that point, the brand had 31 hotels in Germany, six in Poland, three in the Czech Republic and one each in Austria, Romania, Slovakia and Switzerland.
