US hotel group Wyndham Hotels and Resorts continues UAE expansion with 3 new operations in Dubai
Wyndham Hotels and Resorts is planning to grow its presence in the United Arab Emirates with three new hotels in the Deira Waterfront Development in Dubai.
The new hotels will join a growing number of Wyndham-operated properties in the United Arab Emirates, as well as an expanding portfolio in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. We find out more.
Wyndham on the Deira Waterfront
The Deira Waterfront Development is situated on Dubai’s Persian Gulf coast on the inner coastal side of the Deira Islands.
The mixed-use development will be created by Ithra Dubai, part of the Investment Corporation Dubai, and will feature three new properties that will form part of Wyndham Hotels and Resorts’ portfolio.
This will increase the group’s presence in Dubai, with particular focus on expanding its midscale sector.
The Deira Waterfront Development is a large-scale dockland development intended to bring opportunities for growth and investment into the city. It will include commercial, residential, hospitality and entertainment facilities to both locals and visitors, and Wyndham’s three new hotels will form part of this offering.
Three new hotels for Wyndham
The Wyndham Deira Waterfront is a 282-key hotel that will appeal to the upscale and business traveler, who are looking for top-tier services and 24-hour facilities such as the gym and wellness centre. There will also be a strong focus on meeting and conference facilities in this property, but leisure and downtime is also amply catered for in the rooftop pool which will afford visitors expansive views out over the Gulf.
Wyndham’s second offering in the development will be the Days Hotel Deira Waterfront, a 131-key hotel ideal for travelers looking for a mid-range hotel which offers them reliability and ease of access, as well as meeting and conference facilities.
Wyndham’s final hotel in the area will be the Super 8 Deira Waterfront, a budget hotel with 90 guest rooms catering to travelers looking for somewhere cheap and easy to stay, but within reach of all of the amenities the Waterfront has to offer.
Regional Vice President for Middle East, Eurasia and Africa at Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Ignace Bauwens, said of the development: “Together with Ithra Dubai, we know we can preserve the heritage of the area whilst still meeting the needs of the modern traveller and contributing to growing the district’s commercial opportunity. Offering three very distinct hotel brands ranging from upscale to economy will also ensure the area holds great appeal for visitors to Dubai from many different source markets.”
