Voco ventures into Italy with new Milan outpost

IHG’s upscale hotel brand is celebrating the launch of a 280-key property with its very own Congress Centre, capable of hosting up to 630 attendees, in Milan.

Voco Milan – Fiere brings a new kind of hotel to Italy’s fashion capital.

Voco‘s Italian dream becomes a reality

Hotel giant IHG continues to expand the footprint of its Voco brand with breath-taking speed. The latest scheme to open, Voco Milan-Fiere, bears the distinction of being its inaugural property in Italy.

This hotel benefits from its great location, offering convenient access to the Linate and Malpensa airports, as well as the city centre and key business hubs like the Milano Innovation District, the exhibition centre and Milano Convention Centre.

Paolo Tirelli, Voco Milan-Fiere’s general manager, said: “We are excited to be the first Voco hotel in Italy and bring a new hotel offering to Milan. Originating from Latin, the name Voco means ‘to invite’ or ‘call together’ and that is exactly what our hotel offers guests – access to an abundance of work and meeting spaces at the same time as an array of onsite facilities and amenities for that much-needed me time.”

Style and class with Voco in Milan

Voco’s Milanese offering boasts 280 rooms and suites, all decked out in fresh, modern decor that ties in with the blue, grey and yellow colours synonymous with the brand. And guests will no doubt be impressed by Voco’s commitment to sustainability here, which is visible in everything from the bed linen made out of recycled materials and the 100% electric heating system to the digital menus.

However, perhaps the hotel’s standout feature is its onsite Congress Centre. With the ability to host 630 delegates, the centre incorporates a grand foyer, seven modular meeting rooms and an 812 sq m terrace for staging outdoor events.

There are two F&B outlets for travellers to choose between at Voco Milan-Fiere – OnFire Grill & Lounge, which serves up local fare from nearby suppliers; and Ludico Drinks, Food & Play, an all-day lounge area. The property also includes a wellness area with an indoor pool, sauna and Turkish bath.
