IHG’s fast-growing hotel brand has made its debut in Europe’s largest economy with the long-awaited opening of the bold and playful Voco Dusseldorf Seestern.

Voco is building up its presence in central Europe after successfully launching a stylish property in Düsseldorf.

Voco dances into Düsseldorf

IHG has partnered with investor group Hotelite Management to bring the first property under its distinguished Voco brand to Germany. A stone’s throw away from the banks of the Rhine in the Lörick district, and within convenient reach of Düsseldorf Airport, Voco Dusseldorf Seestern is a 160-key hotel that aims to provide a perfect base for both business and leisure travellers.

The concept behind Voco is that it marries what customers expect from a big-name brand with the curated nature and comfort of a boutique hotel, which is reflected in the offering at Voco Dusseldorf Seestern.

Oliver Walzer, cluster general manager of Hotelite, said: “We are proud to be the first Voco hotel in Germany and are looking forward to inviting our first guests to come and experience what the brand is all about – especially in Düsseldorf, a city where fashion, culture and commerce meet. Whether it be a short city break or a business trip, our onsite hosts will make sure that visitors will have a charming, unstuffy and playful experience that brings out the very best in them.”

Something for everyone at Voco’s latest hotel

Voco prides itself on offering guests authentic local experiences and so travellers will be treated to a shortbread cookie, the famous Heidesand biscuit, as soon as they arrive. And its new Düsseldorf outpost typifies the brand’s design ethos by creating a cosy and inviting space with playful and bold decorative elements peppered around the hotel, including the brand’s signature pops of yellow.

Restaurant & Bar 38 is the hotel’s onsite F&B venue, offering all-day dining from breakfast to dinner, plus an extensive drinks menu including cocktails that can be enjoyed out on the terrace. Those wanting to keep fit on the go can avail themselves of the fully equipped fitness centre with steam room and sauna, meanwhile, and corporate travellers can do business in one of the five meeting rooms, which can hold up to 140 guests in total.
