voco signs swift Indian second

IHG Hotels & Resorts has inked a management agreement with Atharva Hotel Superfluities India Pvt Ltd for a newbuild voco hotel in Gurugram, India.

This is the second Indian signing for the brand within a month and further expands IHG’s premium portfolio in the country.

Already underway

voco Gurugram Golf Course Extension Road is currently in the advanced stages of construction and will open in Q2 2023, adding 204 keys to the group’s system. The signing of a voco hotel in a Tier 1 city such as Gurugram will support the company’s growth ambitions for the brand in the south west Asia region and build on the recent debut of the brand in India. 

The hotel will be located just off the main Golf Course Extension Road, My Den, M3M Urbana, an established business and commercial area of Gurugram. In addition to modern guestrooms offering premium comfort, the hotel will feature an all day dining restaurant, lobby lounge, a bar, an outdoor pool and a gymnasium. To cater to corporate guests’ demands, the hotel will also offer meeting rooms and a business centre equipped with the latest technology.

Dynamic market

Rapid expansion

As one of IHG’s fastest growing premium brands, voco allows guests to enjoy a refreshed experience. Since launching globally in 2018, voco has enjoyed rapid growth with multiple signings across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia (EMEAA). The other upcoming site in India is voco Jim Corbett Hotel, a 100-key property due for completion in Q3 2024.

IHG currently has 44 hotels operating across five brands in south west Asia, including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Resort and Holiday Inn Express, and has a strong pipeline of 37 hotels due to open in the next 2-3 years.
