IHG’s voco hotels is making its Canadian debut with three new properties in Montreal, Toronto, and Niagara Falls

voco hotels, a brand of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ global portfolio, has entered the Canadian market with its first three regional signings. The new hotels in Montreal, Toronto, and Niagara Falls will blend the vibrancy of local culture with the quality and reassurance of a respected global brand.

Upcoming voco hotel openings in Canada

Each new voco hotel blends sustainable hospitality with a warm, home-like feel. Guests enjoy quick check-ins, friendly service, and local treats, while cozy rooms and vibrant bars and restaurants offer comfort and celebration throughout their stay.

  • voco Niagara Falls – Fallsview: Set to open in late 2026 in the heart of Niagara Falls’ busy tourist district. The 232-room hotel, a conversion of an existing property, will span two connected towers. Amenities will include an on-site restaurant, coffee shop, indoor pool, and fitness center.
  • voco Montreal: Set to open in mid-2027 in downtown Montreal. Located near the Montreal Convention Center, University of Montreal Health Center, and Old Montreal, the hotel will feature 55 guest rooms along with a spacious restaurant and lobby lounge.
  • voco Toronto Airport West: Set to open in 2027 near Toronto Pearson International Airport. The 180-room property will feature a restaurant and bar, fitness center, and 3,500 square feet of meeting space.

Another big step for IHG

Scott Duff, Vice President of Development, Canada, for IHG Hotels & Resorts, said, “The voco hotels brand has emerged as a remarkable success within the IHG premium portfolio, as both owners and guests are drawn to its distinctive properties that seamlessly blend the individualism of each location with the reassurance of a brand they trust.”

These new launches represent the latest chapter in voco hotels’ swift global expansion, which saw 45 new signings in 2024, additional market debuts in India and Sweden, and growth that brought its reach to 100 open hotels and 95 more in the pipeline.
