Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson says he is “thrilled that Virgin Hotels has joined the iconic Music Row neighbourhood” following the lifestyle hospitality brand’s showstopping entry into Nashville.

Virgin Hotels Nashville has opened its doors at the helm of the city’s historic Music Row district.

We find out more about this snazzy new property and what makes it really stand out from the crowd.

Introducing Nashville’s newest star

Virgin Hotels Nashville offers a unique hotel experience with 262 so-called Chambers (rooms), as well as a variety of dining and drinking outlets. They include The Pool Club and the Funny Library Coffee Shop, while the brand’s flagship restaurant, bar and lounge Commons Club is set to debut in the autumn of 2020.

The property, developed by The Buccini/Pollin Group and operated by Virgin Hotels, offers guests convenient access to some of the most famous recording studios in music history, along with shops, restaurants and countless other attractions.

“We’re thrilled to officially open our doors in the Music City. We’ve taken measures above and beyond our standards to ensure our guests will feel comfortable, safe and well taken care of while still maintaining the quintessential ‘Virgin’ experience travellers know and love,” said Raul Leal, CEO of Virgin Hotels.

“From the inception, our one-of-a-kind Chambers were designed with a contactless experience and privacy in mind. With our unique dining destinations, we’ve created charming spaces that locals will frequent, and visitors will return to time and time again.”

A nod to Nashville’s rich history and culture

The property’s exterior, designed by Blur Workshop and Nashville-based Hastings Architecture, brings together the city’s history and its progress towards modern architecture.

And interior design firm MARKZEFF has given the hotel a modern yet comfortable feel dotted with playful elements. Nashville’s history and surroundings inspired many of the design details such as refined industrial materials, intricate brick patterns, rough-hewn timber and rich furnishings.

Unsurprisingly, music takes centre stage and is celebrated in every corner of the hotel. The jaw-dropping Music City Ensemble installation by John Peralta is the undisputed highlight. It features 12 artistically arranged country music instruments from top manufacturers such as A&F Drum Co, Fender Musical Instruments Corporation and Eastwood Guitars, suspended mid-air in the lobby.

“Nashville has always held a special place in my heart, and I’m thrilled that Virgin Hotels has joined the iconic Music Row neighbourhood,” said Sir Richard. “Given Virgin’s history in the music industry, Nashville was a natural fit for the expansion of Virgin Hotels.

“More importantly, we were drawn to the spirit of the Music City. We are so excited and honoured to open our doors here. Thank you for welcoming us with open arms.”

Virgin Hotels is a lifestyle hospitality brand combining heartfelt service, straightforward value and seamless, personalised hotel experiences with the track record of innovation and smart disruption that Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Group is known for.
