The Vibe Hotel Sydney’s elegant interior.

TFE’s Vibe Hotels brings a cool new property to Sydney and combines classic and modern elements in a way which evokes both Manhattan chic and Sydney style.

The latest addition to Vibe Hotels’ roster is a swanky hotel in Sydney’s Darling Harbour.

Billed as where “Manhattan design chic meets Sydney style”, Vibe Sydney Darling Harbour will mark the brand’s fourth offering in this area of Australia’s largest city.

We find out more.

New York meets Sydney in Darling Harbour

Vibe Hotels is channelling the Big Apple in its latest instalment into Sydney’s CBD, Vibe Sydney Darling Harbour.

Located on the historic Sussex Street, this 145-key property seeks to blend Manhattan’s sophistication with the contemporary class of Sydney, to result in a property that is stylish throughout and has both old and new elements that feed into its unique identity.

TFE Hotels’ Chief Operating Officer Chris Sedgwick spoke of the hotel’s design saying, “Everywhere you look old and new meld together. Brickwork was chosen to fit the character of the street and, when you stand in some of the lower level rooms and look out of the enormous windows onto Sussex Street, it’s this brickwork that frames the view and ties old and new together.”

Features and amenities

Guests staying in the new Vibe Sydney Darling Harbour will have direct access to Sydney’s CBD, so the hotel will be as ideal for business travellers as it will be for leisure travellers.

The hotel has an eye-catching Brownstone elevator which will take guests up to the hotel’s highlight, the Above 319 rooftop bar and restaurant, from where guests can take in the panoramic views over the city.

There is a rooftop pool beside the bar area, and on the ground floor, The Sussex Store eatery takes its cues from Chinatown and Sydney’s Shangri-La hotel, where chef Lynn Clemente worked previously.

Chris Sedgwick added, “The opening marks a very exciting point in the ongoing refresh of our Vibe Hotels brand, which will soon have another three exciting contemporary new additions in Melbourne, Central Hobart and in Adelaide.”
