A new partnership will see hotel operator Valor Hospitality team up with hotel creator Campbell Gray, to focus on developing properties together in the Middle East.

Valor Hospitality Partners has signed a strategic partnership with Campbell Gray Hotels & Resorts, aiming to grow business for both across the Middle East.

Hotel management group Valor has grown in recent years to be a truly trans global hotel operator. Now, it is focusing its growth plans on further building its portfolio of properties under management across the Middle East region.

Growing in partnership

“This collaboration with Valor Hospitality Partners allows us to maintain the individuality of our hotels while benefiting from Valor’s operational expertise and centralised services,” said Campbell Gray chairman Saad Audeh. “Together, we will continue to deliver exceptional service and memorable guest experiences, ensuring our properties remain at the forefront of luxury hospitality.”

Audeh told the media that there is a list of projects for Valor to support Campbell Gray with. These include the reopening of Le Gray in Beirut, and the launch of several new sites, including The Gray Kings Polo in Cairo; The Gray Beach Hotel & Residences in Ras El Hekma, Egypt; The Gran Bujairi Boutique Hotel in Saudi Arabia; and a hotel and residences development in Abuja, Nigeria.

Egypt is a major focus for Campbell Gray, with a strong pipeline of projects there. These include The Gray Beach Hotel and Residences, on the north coast overlooking the Mediterranean. Also along the same stretch of coast are The Gray Laguna and The Gray Villas, providing five star residences, but with the support of hotel-level services from Campbell Gray.

In the Cairo region, a residences project is in planning at Hills of One, New Zayed City. And in West Cairo, The Gray Kings Polo will be a luxury boutique hotel, complete with a polo clubhouse and academy, plus a wellness spa.

Elsewhere, there are plans to launch a new luxury hotel in Porto, Portugal. The Palacio de Canavezes is being carefully developed to provide a luxury riverside boutique hotel, with a spa that will include therapies based around the ancient thermal spring on the site.

Julien Bergue is managing partner for the Valor group in AMEA, and commented: “Our expertise in hotel management and operations will complement Campbell Gray’s unique approach to luxury hospitality, and together, we will continue to set new standards of excellence.”

A global operator

Valor has over a decade grown its hotel management expertise around the globe. In Europe, it is a significant player, operating 40 hotels, many of them bearing the brands of major international hotel chains. In AMEA, it is already present in 14 countries, with 23 projects live. And in the US, the group is also building its scale as a third party operator of hotels meeting the best global standards.

Valor is currently working on upcoming openings in Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Zanzibar and Scotland. The business continues to look to break into new markets and, for example, is currently preparing to open its first hotel in Uzbekistan, the IntercityHotel Tashkent.
