Valor Hospitality has launched two new golf hotels, adding to the luxury sporting offering in its portfolio.

Seaton House overlooks the Old Course at St Andrews, Scotland, while Dunluce Lodge is located alongside the fairway at Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland. Both will be operated by Valor in partnership with their American owners, Links Collection.

A destination for golfers

In St Andrews, widely recognised as the home of golf, Seaton House has 42 luxury guest rooms, including six suites. As well as a bar, the property features two restaurants – The Board Room, and the Ondine Oyster & Grill.

The Ondine has, since 2009, built a reputation for fine dining at its Edinburgh restaurant, winning the accolade Scottish Restaurant of the Year no less than three times. Now, with chef Roy Brett, has moved its operation to Seaton House. Brett has also agreed to lead Valor’s growing food and beverage division, Savor, as it seeks to create innovative dining choices for more of the group’s international hotel portfolio.

Aside from great dining, Seaton House has plenty of attractions for guests – even those less interested in a round of golf. From its central location, St Andrews is on the doorstep, while the destination’s West Sands beach is just a short walk away.

For a more intimate stay, Dunluce Lodge has been upgraded to create a stunning, romantic retreat, accessible not just by road but for those who prefer, via a nearby helipad. Golfers will enjoy proximity to the Royal Portrush and Portstewart golf clubs, while accommodation is in the form of 35 luxury suites.

For larger groups travelling together, there is The Stookan, bringing together eight rooms. The world class restaurant offers, among many other things, bottles of the finest vintages from its wine vault, as well as a wide choice of Irish whiskey to enjoy.

“This is the true culmination of our global teams coming together to deliver two independent luxury properties using our wealth of knowledge and expertise from the USA, UK, and Africa,” commented Euan McGlashan, chief executive of Valor Hospitality. “The opening of Dunluce Lodge and Seaton House is not just a milestone for Valor and our new partnership with Links Collection – it is the culmination of four years of collaboration, teamwork, hard work, tenacity, magic, and passion.”

Valor spreads its operations

The Links Collection also includes a third hotel, the Dunvegan hotel, also located in St Andrews. It includes the famous Golfers Corner bar, which features photographs from days gone by detailing the world famous golfers that have visited over the years.

For Valor, the openings of the Links Collection hotels come as the group continues to expand its operations internationally. In England, it has just launched one of the most sustainable new build hotels yet, the Voco Zeal hotel at Exeter Science Park. The company has also recently signed to manage the upcoming hotel at Manchester City football club’s Etihad Campus. The Medlock, which will open in late 2026, will join the growing Radisson Blu upper upscale brand.
