Luxury brand Six Senses enter 2019 on a high with two resorts in Oman and the Seychelles included in Best Hotels’ gold list

Luxury hotel brand Six Senses has every reason to celebrate this January following the announcement of their inclusion on The Best Hotels and Resorts in the World: The Gold List 2019.

The list, produced by Condé Nast Traveler, rounds up the most coveted properties around the globe in anticipation of the upcoming twelve months of travel. We find out more.

In a smashing start to the new year, Six Senses can be proud of having not just one, but two, of their resorts, featured on the Condé Nast Traveler Best Hotels and Resorts in the World list.

And it’s not just a run of the mill list, but the 2019 Gold List. This will set the two properties, located in Oman and the Seychelles, on the right course for the coming 12 months.

The list is also a first for the publication in that it spans both sides of the Atlantic, featuring hotels and resorts in 36 countries across six continents.

Six Senses has made a name for itself through its luxurious offerings in far flung, exotic destinations that are the true definition of paradise.

The first of the hotels included in the list, the Six Senses Zighy Bay is located on Oman’s northern Musandam Peninsula.

The resort has taken its inspiration from a traditional fishing village, and takes full advantage of its seaside location to create a truly unique getaway.

The resort features 82 villas, each with a private pool, and the resort’s stunning location between the azure blue waters of the bay and the Hajar Mountains behind are reason enough to take a trip to this idyllic destination.

One of the highlights of the hotel is a spectacular entrance that can be made by paragliding into the resort, and the food on offer is also a standout, where guests can sample Bedouin cooking or indulge in cuts of wagyu beef.

The hotel also offers a range of adventure sports for its thrill-seeking guests, from rock climbing to mountain biking, and if you are not so inclined to adventure, you can relax and recuperate in the hotel’s state of the art spa.

This hotel and resort embodies the very ideal of a tropical escape. Located on the secluded tip of the Felicite island in the Seychelles, the hotel’s 30 villas allow guests to immerse themselves fully in the exotic oasis of palm-fringed beaches, granite bluffs and unique nature of this coveted part of the world.

Guests can swim with turtles and surround themselves with nature, whether it is on land or at sea on the serene waters of the Indian Ocean.
