Tribù’s 2019 collection sets the scene for relaxed and sophisticated outdoor living
1/ ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES WITH THE MODULAR SENJA SOFA
Curl up and relax on the versatile Senja modular sofa. Combine a one-, two- or three-seater module with high or low arm and back rests and keep everything you need to hand with an integrated table, console or side table topped with teak or glazed lava stone. Customers can configure the seating to suit their space, mixing single and multiple modules to create corner or linear seating arrangements. Senja’s powder-coated aluminium frame comes in linen and wengé, with matching legs or with teak legs.
Senja is available with regular seat cushions or an ultra-deep variant to curl up on. The Nordic-style piped cushions benefit from water-repellent filling and come in a choice of 112 water-resistant fabrics. The combination of a wide range of colour fabrics, 2 frame finishes, 3 leg options, 97 seating modules, 3 table modules and 3 table tops allows you to create the sofa you want tailored to your personal style.
2/ NOMAD EASY CHAIR: EMBRACE COMFORT
The deep cushion of the Nomad easy chair is stitched to cocoon the body, folding over the armrests and moulding into the broad curve of the backrest. Designer Monica Armani used what she calls ‘noble teak wood’ for its warmth, smoothness and strength. Slender legs and contoured armrests give the chair its elegant profile and the smartly stitched cushion is as luxurious as it is comfortable. Nomad, like its name, works well wherever it is placed, in combination or as a stand-alone piece.
3/ TAO TABLES – FINE DESIGN ON A PEDESTAL
The elegant TAO table collection is a lesson in perfectly balanced contrasts – bold sculptural pedestals are counterbalanced by slim table tops that are pleasing to the touch. Italian designer Monica Armani has used refined concrete to give a look of elegant solidity to this dining and coffee table. The dining table has a central pedestal, which supports a finely milled round table top. The coffee table plays tricks with symmetry by setting the finely milled square table top off centre. The TAO tables come in warm, natural linen and wengé tones to create striking centrepieces for any setting.
4/ MONSIEUR TRICOT LAMPS: SHINING A LIGHT ON ARTISAN KNITTING
Monsieur Tricot joins the Tribù design family with its collection of distinctive knitted and crocheted outdoor lighting. The hanging and standing lamps, designed by Belgian designer Ilia Eckardt, merge traditional techniques with high-performance materials and modern technology. Ilia Eckardt grew up immersed in the Belgian fashion scene, his mother Hilde Frunt working for Belgian fashion designers like Raf Simons, Dries Van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester and Walter Van Beirendonck. Fascinated by their world, Ilia worked on several knitting projects, experimenting with innovative knitting techniques and materials. The Monsieur Tricot lighting collection is the first knitted/crocheted weatherproof lighting. The globe and drop lights give a warm glow and cast beautiful shadows. Different shapes, dimensions, patterns and colours are the perfect compliment to Tribù’s furniture. Tribù’s R&D department has made the lamps ready for the modern technology era. Thanks to a user friendly app, the battery functioning standing lamps can easily be operated, grouping lamps and adding timer functions.
5/ NATAL ALU X COFFEE TABLES – SLIMLINE FORM MEETS MULTI-FUNCTIONALITY
The new Natal Alu X-tables in matt powder-coated aluminium combine functionality and subtle contemporary design. The fine lines of the cross-frame base and angled corner joints are eye-catching touches typical of Tribù’s attention to detail. These multi-purpose tables are available in white and wengé finishes. You can choose from different heights and sizes, meaning the Natal Alu X-tables will complement any outdoor setting.
6/ NODI LOUNGER – AN EXTENSION OF THE NODI COLLECTION
Light and airy, the silhouette of the Nodi lounger is characterized by twisted-interlaced rope in weather-resistant Canax®, stretched across a precise geometric wireframe. Pared back, refined proportions and a minimalist approach to materiality lend a casual lightness. The beautifully aligned armrests add extra comfort.
The lounger joins the Nodi collection which was designed by Canadian design firm Yabu Pushelberg and successfully introduced in 2018.
7/ NOX TABLE – AN EXTRA DIMENSION
In 2018 the Nox table was introduced. This elegant dining table with royal dimensions stands out with its handmade tabletop of glazed lava stone with a subtle craquelure effect.
In 2019 a second length of 264cm is added. The Nox tabletop rests on strong, slender supports made from powdercoated stainless steel. Thanks to this, the table is surprisingly light and elegant, despite the heavy stone tabletop. The enamel layer makes the natural stone water, heat, frost, UV, and stain-resistant.
8/ NEW FABRICS INSPIRED BY NATURE
Taking nature’s palette as inspiration, Tribù will add 60 new weatherproof fabrics to its collection, bringing the total to 112 gorgeous colours. The colours of the seasons, cool green leaves, sun-baked earth and glowing skies are captured in subtle, harmonising shades. The tactile, richly textured Dalsace and Rustic Weave add depth and contrast when paired with fine Linen-look fabrics., Our innovative use of high-performance synthetic fibres allows us to create fabrics that are unique and exclusive to Tribù. Each collection is superior in touch, feel, look and quality.
