TOPHOTELWORLDTOUR to make grand debut in Los Angeles
Top brass of regional hospitality industry to convene on May 13 to network and discuss Downtown LA’s hospitality revolution
With that in mind, let’s look at what this exclusive hospitality event has in store for its attendees.
A Los Angeles debut
While TOPHOTELWORLDTOUR is no stranger to visiting glamorous cities—from London to Singapore—this event will mark its premiere in Downtown Los Angeles.
In past years, the premium networking event has visited other cities in the United States, including New York, Miami, and Las Vegas.
For the uninitiated, the conference is TOPHOTELPROJECTS’ now-famous series of boutique events, one that has attracted attendees from across the globe. The programming is intricate, aimed at helping attendees network, learn and engage with a broader subsection of the industry.
This year’s event series launched on February 7 in London’s Nobu Hotel Shoreditch. More recently, it was held in Singapore on March 14 at the swanky Swissotel The Stamford. Not to be outdone, the Los Angeles event will take place at the Hotel Indigo in Downtown Los Angeles.
Discussing the downtown LA revolution
The Los Angeles event will include a panel discussion titled “Ultimate Game-Changer? Downtown LA’s Hospitality Revolution.” The panel will go into how Downtown LA has undergone recent revitalisation and is poised to help this city remain among the top-performing U.S. hotel markets.
Downtown LA, which for many years was somewhat of a desert in terms of hospitality development, has greatly flourished in recent years.
Today, the area is home to more than 10,000 rooms spread across both branded and independent full-service and boutique hotels. Impressively, this growth comes amid intense pressure by home-sharing services such as Airbnb.
The day-long conference will feature top-notch speakers and industry thought-leaders such as John Fareed, Managing Director, Horwath HTL; Marten Dresen CEO & Founder, Good Hotel Group; and Christopher M. Henry, CEO, Majestic Hospitality Group, to name a few.
Other highlights from the Los Angeles program includes the Creative Spark design award, networking sessions, and TOPHOTELPROJECTS’ Founder and CEO Rolf W. Schmidt’s “Hospitality Development USA” keynote presentation.
