Another incredible TOPHOTELWORLDTOUR event has finished, this time in the British capital London, one of the biggest cities for hospitality in the world. The event saw some of the biggest hitters and top talents of the hotel industry turn out to network, learn and speak at this now legendary event. We recap on the day’s events.
TOPHOTELWORLDTOUR in London
The most recent TOPHOTELWORLDTOUR event was held on September 25th in London’s famous Bloomsbury Hotel. This day-long conference focuses on networking through the numerous Change Table Sessions held throughout the day that allow all delegates to meet each other and exchange information, as well as highlighting particular trends in the hospitality industry and inviting industry experts to give keynote speeches, presentations and be part of the engaging panel discussion. This time around, the panel discussion moderated by Heleri Rande from SUPPER Magazine and always one of the most interesting portions of the afternoon, was around the subject, ”Shared office spaces in hotels: are they working?” This issue is highly topical, as many hotels are trying to integrate co-working into their environments in an effort to appeal to digital nomads and millennials. Keynote presentations included one on networking by from Knockout Networking, the European project pipeline by Caroline List from TOPHOTELPROJECTS and one on the simplicity of aesthetics by Hakan Ozkasikci from AMAN.
The Creative Spark sections of the TOPHOTELWORLDTOUR are always riveting, as three exquisitely-designed hotels battle it out for the crown of best hotel design. This time, the competition was between the Vintry & Mercer Hotel in London, presented by of Dexter Moren Associates, the Sheraton Skyline in Heathrow, presented by of Leon Black, and the Capital Suite – Intercontinental London Park Lane, presented by of RPW Design. The roundup of the three Creative Spark projects was held by Kimberly Brown from STRATA Architects, and the winner was announced towards the end of the afternoon before the attendees were treated to a tour of the hotel and a drinks reception.

Up next on the TOPHOTELWORLDTOUR roster is the upcoming event in Hong Kong. The conference will take place on October 16th in The Cordis Hotel.
