W. Geels named Vice President of Development, Europe for IHG
IHG has promoted to the prestigious position of Vice President of Development, Europe.
Geels has been working in hospitality for 20 years and formerly held the position of Development & Acquisitions Director for Europe at Louvre Hotels Group and formed part of Deloitte’s Transport, Hospitality and Leisure team in Paris, where she will still be based.
Geels’ responsibilities in her new role include growing IHGs operations across Europe via their European Business Unit, which oversees managed and franchise structures.
Geels said, “It is a privilege to move into this role at a time of such strong and diverse growth for Europe. My team and I look forward to working in close partnership with our existing owners and developers to drive stronger returns, as well as bringing new partners into the IHG family.”
Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul appoints A. Yolcu as Sales and Marketing Director
Industry professional has been named by Istanbul’s Çırağan Palace Kempinski as its new head of sales and marketing.
Yolcu brings years of experience to this role and has a long history with this particular property.
He had managed Çırağan Palace Kempinski’s sales department until 2014, then returned to the hotel in 2015 and was promoted to a higher leadership role.
He was formerly the Vice Director of Sales at Shangri-La Bosphorus Istanbul Hotel and so has the necessary experience to succeed in this role.
Yolcu will assume a position on the board of the hotel and will manage the property’s sales and marketing activities.
Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul appoints N. Işıklı Anıl as Business Development Director
In another significant appointment for the Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul, has been named as the hotel’s new business development director.
Anıl brings over 20 years of hospitality experience to her new role and comes has spent many years working with Accor in Turkey. She will also have a seat on the hotel’s board.
