M. DAVIES TO LEAD M&E AT EDWARDIAN HOTELS LONDON
Radisson Group has put hospitality veteran Mandy Davies in charge of Meetings and Events at Edwardian Hotels London.
With over 15 years’ experience organising commercial and private functions, meetings and events in hotels, Davies brings a lot to the table.
In her previous role as the Commercial Manager of the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel Manchester, she was responsible for increasing the hotel’s ADR and occupancy in the M&E segment.
Davies’ unique skill set includes strategic planning, staff development, forecasting and business optimisation to improve profitability.
Davies spoke of her new role, saying, “I am really looking forward to this new challenge and cannot wait to engage with key stakeholders and colleagues to create an unrivalled meetings and events guest experience.”
C. OLSSON TO HEAD UP RADISSON COLLECTION HOTEL, STRAND STOCKHOLM
Charlotta Olsson has been appointed as the new general manager of Radisson’s Strand Stockholm Hotel.
Ollson got her start in the industry at this very same hotel twelve years ago when she was a Meetings and Events Executive there.
During her career, she has worked at numerous other Radisson properties, including the Park Inn by Radisson Stockholm Solna and the Park Inn by Radisson Lund, both of which she was general manager of.
Now, she will continue her hard work for Radisson by leading the Radisson Collection Hotel, Strand Stockholm.
TPG ARCHITECTURE APPOINTS S. LAM TO KEY POSITION
Shay Lam has been named as a Managing Executive at New York design firm TPG Architecture.
Formerly a studio creative director within the company, which has many years of experience and deep expertise within the hospitality sector, Lam will continue to push the boundaries of hotel design in his new role, ensuring that TPG remains an industry leader.
His mission is to harness the energy of current design trends to create more innovation within his projects, riding the rising tide of technology and data-driven design in hotels.
