To infinity and beyond in these breathtaking hotel pools
There’s nothing better than arriving at your hotel on the first day of your vacation and heading straight to the pool. Whether it’s an indoor pool perfect for burning off steam after a hard day’s work on a business trip, a heated tub in the snowy mountains beside the ski lodge or a rooftop pool in the middle of the city, swimming pools are definitely at the top of many travelers’ lists. But there are some pools that manage to whisk us away to somewhere entirely different; out to sea and beyond. Infinity pools make us feel like we floating in an endless body of water, and certain hotels have really taken advantage of their unique setting to transform our swimming experience. Set against the famous whitewashed walls of the island, this pool oozes glamour and romance and is unrivaled on the island.

The line between man and beast is blurred here at this spectacular pool in Africa’s Serengeti national park. The pool overlooks a watering hole where elephants come to refresh themselves only meters away. Truly an unforgettable experience.
Zemi Beach House Resort & Spa, Anguilla
This tropical haven in the West Indies takes full advantage of its lush surroundings. On could be tricked into thinking they really are in the sea as the colour of the pool, sea and sky merge to become one big blue mirage. The design of the pool also gives it an 80’s twist.
This hot spot in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California has got its infinity pool game down to a T. With just a small strip of sand in between it and the sea, at times it can feel like you are the owner of your own private beach. Definitely the best seats in the house are in the pool itself.
